A woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in Mississauga, on Friday night.

Peel region police say officers responding to a stabbing call around 10:20 p.m. at a building near Lakeshore Boulevard and Hurontario Street found a man with severe injuries. They say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have identified him as 54-year-old Michael Johnston and say an autopsy is scheduled for later this week.

Mary Ljubanovich, 48, of Mississauga has been charged in his death and is expected in court Saturday.
