Viewing parties growing since the Raptors made it into the NBA Finals
Besides the OG - Jurassic Park outside Scotiabank Arena in Toronto - there are a number of other gathering places to watch the NBA Finals with other basketball fans.
Earlier this week, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment announced that 10 Canadian cities were approved to set up their own viewing parties, but that list has since grown.
Here's a list of some of those approved by MLSE and other random junior "Jurassic Parks" sprouting up:
Celebration Square in Mississauga has been transformed into "Jurassic Park West". An estimated 20 thousand people packed into the square for Game 1 on Thursday (at 20 thousand people, this square might not be so junior, after all).
Garden Square in Brampton has become known temporarily as "Jurassic Square".
Albert Campbell Square in Scarborough City Centre will be screening Game 2.
Downsview Park has created "Jurassic Park North" at the Warehouse Event Venue.
Burlington has "Burlassic Park" in the city's civic square.
Windsor will be showing the game tonight at Charles Clark Square.
Kingston will create their own version of Jurassic Park at Springer Market Square.
Halifax has created Jurassic Park East at Rogers Square - the site where the Raptors played their first game back in 1995.
There are reports that Vaughan, Pickering, Halton Hills and Newmarket also got the thumbs up to set up their own Jurassic Parks - not too mention dozens more unofficial viewing parties that have been sprouting up across Canada.
