WATCH: Has a 2015 prowler returned to Etobicoke?

Toronto Police are issuing a public safety alert about a prowler in Etobicoke.

In January, 2015, a woman came home in the area of Dixon Road and Highway 401 to find a man in her backyard. She told her boyfriend who then watched the man take off, down the sidewalk, and into a beige SUV.

They looked at their home security system and saw the man had taken a ladder in their backyard, placed it against the house, climbed it, and looked into a bathroom window.

The video was released by police shortly after.

On July 13, 2018, two women were sitting in the backyard of a home in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Renforth Drive when they noticed a man in their neighbour's backyard committing an indecent act.

They yelled at him and he took off, running.

The two women went online and found the video of the 2015 incident that was posted by police and believe it to be the same man.

He's described as 6'-6'2", with a medium build, wearing a dark-coloured jacket, a white shirt and dark pants.

Investigators do not have reason to believe this alleged prowler is the same one reported in late-July in the area bordered by Rathburn Road, The West Mall, Bloor Street West and Renforth Drive.
