WATCH: More cases of gun violence in Toronto

Amid a spike in gun violence, Toronto Police are investigating two new shootings overnight at opposite ends of the city.

Police were called just before midnight, to Hay Avenue, a quiet residential street near Royal York and Evans Avenue.

Surveillance video, obtained by CP24, shows two cars driving down the street as you hear the crack of gunfire.

Police say a young man walked into hospital with a gunshot wound a short time later. Reports suggest he is not co-operating with investigators.

There was a second shooting around the same time near Scarborough Golf Club Road and Lawrence.

Police say a man was shot while sitting in a car.

Both victims are expected to recover. There are no details on suspects in either case.

The gunshots follow a daylight shooting near Don Mills and Eglinton Wednesday.

A blue sedan was left riddled with bullet holes just before 4 p.m.

Two men were taken to hospital, one with critical injuries.
