Toronto police say they are seeing an emerging trend with human trafficking using Airbnb rentals more often.
Two 18-year old men face almost 60 charges related to a recent bust.
Toronto Police got the tip that broke this case from a 19-year old woman who was in a Brampton hospital bed recovering from a gunshot wound to the butt.
Investigators believe Dante Thaxter and Tyrel McLean shot her when she told them she no longer wanted to be in the sex trade.
The allegations are they threatened her and for days refused to take her to a hospital. Police say the woman was forced into the trade between early January and early February.

The detective in charge of the case believes the two young men were able to secretly sell out their alleged victim for almost a month by using Airbnb rentals.
Det. Sgt. Nunzio Tramontozzi says the property owners probably have no idea.
