Woman hit by falling concrete at Union Station GO terminal
A woman in her 20's was taken to hospital on Thursday evening after she was struck by a piece of concrete that fell from the ceiling of the Union Station GO terminal.
Spots of blood could be seen on the floor as transit officers tended to her wounds.
Toronto Paramedics say she had minor injuries.

Saw special constables looking at the ceiling above, which is partially wrapped in plastic. Obvious construction happening.

The chunk of concrete, which was about a foot in diameter, gave way before 5:30pm, as transit riders were in the midst of the evening rush.
The woman had been walking in Bay St. West Teamway, a tunnel that leads to the platforms.
Metrolinx said the area near platform seven-eight was off-limits while engineers with the City of Toronto investigated. It reopened in time for the Friday morning rush.
