WATCH: Nanticoke generating station's twin chimneys demolished

Demolition crews carried out a perfect demolition of the 650ft tall twin smokestacks on Wednesday morning.

By 2019, OPG plans to tear down the rest of the facility, which was a coal-burning plant in operation from 1972 until 2013. Dropping the use of coal is part of the Liberal's plan to save $3B dollars a year and move to safer, cleaner energy.
