Acadie-Bathurst Titan notch two wins against the Screaming Eagles

It was a productive weekend for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, who played back-to-back games against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

On Friday, November 3rd, the Titan downed the Screaming Eagles 6 - 3.

Dawson Theede lead the charge with two goals and two assists while Keenan MacIsaac, Cole Rafuse, Elijah Francis, and Antoine Morand each chipped in with one.

Netminder Reilly Pickard stopped 23 shots while Morand, Theede, and MacIsaac were named first, second, and third stars of the game respectively.

Then in their second weekend meeting on Saturday, November 4th, the Titan defeated Cape Breton 6 - 3.

Theede, Morand, Samuel L'Italien, German Robstov, Jeff Viel, and Jordan Maher each found the back of the Screaming Eagle's net once.

Goaltender Joseph Murdaca with 18 saves.

Morand, Robstov, and Maher were named first, second, and third stars of the game.

The two victories leave the Titan eight in QMJHL standings, just one point behind the Moncton Wildcats.

Meanwhile, head coach Mario Pouliot is pleased with Rubstov's performance since he was acquired from the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in a trade last week.

In the two weekend matchups against Cape Breton, Robstov notched a goal and two assists.

Pouliot says Robstov's sense of the game surprised him, adding he's strong, involved, and quiet with the puck.

Next stop for the Titan is Victoriaville where they will face the Tigers on Thursday, November 9th.
