Firefighters battle apartment and business fire in Kincardine

Several fire departments were called in to battle a fire in downtown Kincardine that affected two business and two apartments above.

South Bruce OPP say emergency crews were called to the scene on Queen Street around 3 a.m. Monday.

Queen Street was closed between Durham Street and Durham Market North while crews were on scene, but reopened early Monday afternoon.

No one was injured in the fire.

No cause has yet been identified, but fire officials say it does not look suspicious.

The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in, as well as the Mount Forest OPP Forensic Identification Services to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Damage is estimated at over $1 million.
