Flood Warning Issued for Shores of Windsor-Essex

A flood warning has been issued for Windsor-Essex.

The Essex Region Conservation Authority says high winds and wet weather Sunday heading into Monday could cause shoreline flooding.

Leamington, Kingsville, the Town of Essex and Amherstburg could see shoreline-flooding along the western basin of Lake Erie.

Low-lying beach communities and municipal and county roads close to the Lake Erie Shoreline will be most at risk.

Waves could elevate past break-walls in Lakeshore, Tecumseh and east-Windsor off Lake St. Clair into the mouth of the Detroit River.
