St. Thomas baby in stable condition after being allegedly assaulted by parents
A baby in St. Thomas is in stable condition after being allegedly assaulted by its parents.
Police say the seven-week-old child suffered significant injuries earlier this month.
On Thursday, police executed a search warrant at a south end home seizing various items for the investigation.
The child’s parents, a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman are both charged with one count of aggravated assault, two counts of assault causing bodily harm, one count of assault, one count of failing to provide the necessities of life.
The pair were held in custody pending a bail hearing Thursday.
