Sun duo honoured as All-Canadians
The Canadian Junior Football League has released its annual list of Defensive All-Canadians.
The list is composed of 13 defensive players, along with one return specialist.
This year's All-Canadians list featured Sun DB Tye Kitzman and LB Conor Richard.
Richard was honoured in his second season with the Sun, and finished the year with 29 solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles.
He also had one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, one blocked kick, and four knockdowns.
Finally, Richard had one interception, which also went for a pick-six.
In his third season, Kitzman racked up 29 solo tackles and 8 assisted tackles.
He also held the league league lead in deflected passes (10) and interceptions (T-1, 6).
One of those interceptions was returned for a touchdown.
Other BCFC All-Canadians were VI Raiders DL Quinton Bowles, and Raiders return specialist Brycen Mayoh.
The CJFL's All-Canadian Offensive Players will be announced tomorrow.
The Windsor AKO Fratmen will host the Saskatoon Hilltops in the Canadian Bowl on Saturday afternoon
