Province extends deadline in competitions for two legislative officer positions
The province is pushing back the deadline to apply to be the commissioner of official languages or the integrity commissioner for New Brunswick.
A release states the competitions were originally set to close on Wednesday August 14, but the deadline has been extended two weeks to August 28.
The extension will give individuals more time to apply for the two positions and will give the selection committee more time to receive and consider applications.
The province says former Official Languages Commissioner Michel A. Carrier will continue to serve as the interim Official Languages Commissioner while the independent application process unfolds.
Ombud Charles Murray is serving as the Interim Integrity Commissioner until a candidate for that post is selected.
