Two weeks set aside for preliminary inquiry of man charged in 2016 killing of his mother
A preliminary inquiry will take place in the fall for a British Columbia man charged with killing his mother in 2016.
42-year-old Charles Alex Maltais is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 71-year-old Lucille Maltais at her home in Atholville.
He's also charged with setting fire to her home.
Maltais has been in custody since his arrest last month.
Two weeks have been set aside for the hearing, slated to begin on November 4th.
