Daytime ER closures in Colchester and Cumberland County: June 16-23

Another round of daytime emergency room closures has been announced for Colchester and Cumberland County.

The province says the emergency department at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche is closed Sunday June 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the emergency department at the North Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash will be closed on the following dates and times:
- Sunday June 16: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday June 18: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday June 19: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Thursday June 20: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Friday June 21: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Government says the emergency department at the South Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Parrsboro will be shut down for the following dates and times:
- Sunday June 16: 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Monday June 17: 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Tuesday June 18: 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday June 22: 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The province says the emergency department at All Saints Springhill Collaborative Emergency Centre will be closed for the following dates and times:
- Thursday June 20: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Friday June 21: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday June 22: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

These closures are due to a lack of doctors, but the province says all four emergency departments will be available during the overnight hours, with coverage provided by the registered nurse/oversight physician team.
