Advisory: Cobden Beach Posted By Health Unit
As we head into another summer weekend, an importnat notice for anyone swimming in the Cobden area.
An algae bloom at Cobden Beach on Muskrat Lake, has the local health unit posting an advisory to residents and visitors.
Officials are asking people to avoid direct with the bloom, such as swimming in it.
They also say you should not drink the water, do not allow pets into the water, and to avoid eating the liver, kidneys and other organs of fish caught in Muskrat Lake.
Right now Cobden Beach is the only beach in the county posted with an advisory to swimmers.
