Career Fair In Petawawa On Wednesday
Job seekers in the Upper Ottawa Valley will want to mark Wednesday (September 11) on their calendars.
A major career fair will take over the Petawawa Civic Centre, with 45 employers confirmed to be on hand.
It's expected to be Renfrew County's largest career fair of the year.
The Petawawa Employment Services team, Garrison Petawawa, the County of Renfrew, and the Labour Market Group of Renfrew & Lanark Counties are all involved in the event, which aims to build on the success of a simliar event last year.
The trade show-style setup will allow job seekers to roam various exhibits with information about companies that are hiring, job openings, and space available for on-the-spot interviews.
It will also be an opportunity to find out more about education opportunities, with Algonquin College, Laurentian University, Nipissing University, and Willis College showcasing their programs.
The fair hopes to attract a range of potential employees, whether they be graduating high school, college, and university students, personnel leaving military service, and others looking to start new careers.
Job seekers are asked to bring resumes. Admission is free.
The career fair runs on Wednesday, September 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Petawawa Civic Centre, 16 Civic Centre Road, Petawawa.
