Domestic Disturbance Leads To Firearm Charge

A police call to a domestic disturbance in Madawaska Valley ended with a criminal firearm charge.

The OPP were called to a home on Thursday afternoon (August 8) at around 3:30 p.m.

They say they charged a 38 year old with "pointing a firearm", which is a criminal code offense.  

The accused was held for a bail hearing in Pembroke court.  

No names are being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

In the same news release describing the Madawaska Valley incident, Killaloe OPP issued a call to everyone about domestic disputes and voilence.
