However, the township says the cleanup and rebuilding process is still underway.  The township is also hosting one of the upcoming meetings outlining information about applying for disaster relief.

The presentation outlines how to complete an application, as well as opportunities for in-person assistance.

The Laurentian Valley meeting is happening July 24th at 1 p.m. at the Shady Nook Recreation Centre.

Another afternoon session is being held the day before:  Tuesday July 23rd, 2019 starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagles Nest in Eganville.

Evening sessions starting at 6:30 p.m.are being held on Tuesday July 23rd, 2019 at the Westmeath Arena and on Wednesday July 24th, 2019 at the Horton Community Centre.

"Once again we would like to thank all of the amazing volunteers that have been helping throughout the flooding and clean-up", states a news release from Laurentian Valley officials.

"We would also like to thank ratepayers for their patience as staff are catching up on tasks that were delayed while municipal resources were being focussed on dealing with the flooding event".
