Hwy 17 Sign

We have an update on Monday's collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle just outside Pembroke.

Police have now charged the driver of the passenger vehicle, a 55 year old Laurentian Valley woman, with failing to stop at a red light.

That’s a Highway Traffic Act offense.

Police say their investigation reveals that the woman’s vehicle was heading east on highway 17 at the time, while the motorcycle was heading north on B-Line Road.

The two drivers were the only people involved in the collision.

They were both taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
