OPP Remind Boaters To Slow Down
The ice has melted and for a lot of people that means boating season has started!
Sudbury Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police are reminding boaters to SLOW DOWN on waterways.
A high water level alongside the unknown risks of floating debris makes boating hazardous. According to the OPP all docks and wharves in the Municipality of French River are currently under water.
They also remind boaters that wakes can cause significant damage to shorelines and properties in low-lying areas.
Please reduce your speed significantly when boating.
