    The Pembroke Lumber Kings continue there season through March and there are plenty of home games to catch between now and then! Second half of the season see's more home games than away. Redemption night is coming up on December 16th at 7:30 at the PMC. It gives anyone a chance that has tickets an opportunity to bring them to the rink and get into the game!     11TH Annual Furry Friends and Families Holiday Food Drive kicks off today until the 19th DECEMBER. Drop off a non perishable people or pet food item, or a cash donation to one of participating locations - Pembroke Animal Hospital, Mohns Ave Veterinary Services, Deep River Animal Services, Petawawa Animal Hospital, Christie St Animal Hospital, Stafford Animal Hospital, and OSPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre- each donation earns you a ballot for a chance to win a MONTHS worth of FREE Royal Canin Dog or cat food!   • Crime Stoppers Cash Calendar now available

    Pembroke/Renfrew County CRIME STOPPERS are selling their tenth annual Crime Stoppers Cash Calendar. All the photographs in the calendar this year are historic photos taken in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s representing Renfrew County. The calendars cost $20.00 each and include a ticket with the chance to win daily cash prizes from $25.00 to $1,000.00. Winning tickets are returned to the draw drum for multiple chances to win every day of 2017 (365 chances). $12,825.00 in cash will be given away. Only 2,500 calendars were printed. Money raised from this project will stay in and be used in the local community to support the Crime Stoppers Program. Calendars are available for purchase at the OPP detachment in Pembroke, Renfrew and Arnprior, and through some local charities.     A fundraising event for a brave little guy named Cam - who was diagnosed this summer with Stage 4 cancer - He fought a brave battle with a rare and aggressive form called Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor. Cam has passed away at the beginning of November. A group of moms close to Cam and his parents Pres and Amy have organized a fundraising event to help with the extra costs not covered by OHIP. Pres - his dad is a flight engineer at CFB Petawawa with 450 Helicopter squadron. His mother Amy works as a teacher with the Renfrew County District School Board. We want to show this incredible courageous family how our community rallies together during such difficult times and that they are not alone. We also want to celebrate little Cam's life! There will be a DJ, Cold Buffet, Silent and Live Auction and Raffles
