Country Singer Daryle Singletary Dies At 46
Country singer Daryle Singletary died Monday morning in his home in Lebanon, Tennesse. He was 46.
According to his publicist, a cause of death is not yet known.
Best known for hits like “Too Much Fun” and “I Let Her Lie,” the Georgia native got his start as a gospel singer. He moved to Nashville in 1990 and played clubs before being signed.
“He was a true country voice and his talent will be sorely missed,” tweeted Travis Tritt.
Charlie Daniels remembered: “You sang country like country should be sung.”
Singletary performed last Saturday in Louisiana and had another gig scheduled for this coming Thursday in North Carolina.
“I’ve been fortunate to be able to always keep it real and not have to compromise,” reads a quote from Singletary on his website.
He is survived by his wife Holly and their four children as well as his parents and brother.
