34th Annual Terry O'Neil Silver Stick Hockey Tournament Underway in Pembroke
The 34th Annual Terry O’Neil Silver Stick Hockey Tournament is underway in Pembroke.
The annual tournament is known for filling hotels and local restaurants and Norbert Chaput, the Tournament Director, says the 4 week event brings millions of dollars into the City of Pembroke and surrounding area….
“We did the calculations in the past and we figure it’s about, maybe a 6 million dollar spin off, when all is said and done.”
Novice to Midget teams from C all the way up to Double A Hockey will compete and 136 teams will be in the City over the next 4 weekends.
Over the years money raised from the tournament has gone towards ½ a million dollars in upgrades at the Pembroke Memorial Centre.
Games are free to attend and take place at the PMC and Pem Ice 2.
A man went to Ripley's Aquarium in TO, undressed and then jumped in the water to swim with the sharks. The best part of this story? He managed to get out of the tank and flee before the police showed up!
New Yorkers don't have a reputation for being polite and friendly. Here's why! Omg!
What is funnier? The body language of this man when he realizes what will be demonstrated or the music that has been added to the video?
