A Petawawa Family's Desperate Appeal For Answers

The family of a Petawawa teen who’s been missing for nearly two months is taking new steps to try to find her.

17 year old Trinity Poil hasn’t been seen since February 13th, when it's believed she left her family's Cleve Avenue home in the middle of the night.

Her mother, Tammy Poil, spoke publicly in an interview with Star 96.7's Tony Grace at the family's Petawawa home this week.

You can hear the interview, broadcast on Star Mornings on Friday, April 5, here:

Trinity's family says she is on the autism spectrum and they’re concerned about her ability to function in unfamiliar surroundings.

Her mother Tammy Poil says they’re now taking steps to preserve DNA samples for the missing persons database and trying to spread the word nationally.

"We want to try and push it nationally, as far as we can, as fast as we can, so that everybody knows who she is", Poil told Star 96.7's Tony Grace during an interview in her home.

"And, so that the right person in the right place sees and calls".

"We just really want to know she's okay.  If she's out there somewhere, and she's happy and safe and doesn't want to come home, we can work with that ... but we need to know that she's okay", Poil said.
