American Company Is Set to Acquire Pembroke MDF Plant
An American company has reached a deal to buy the MDF Plant in Pembroke.
Roseburg Forest Products, based in Oregon, announced the deal had been reached for an undisclosed amount of money yesterday. The acquisition is expected to be completed by April 9th.
It's Roseburg's first international purchase and they say the Pembroke plant will help provide their customers with a broader range of products.
The Pembroke plant employs about 185 people and Roseburg says they hope the majority will join them when the sale is complete.
