Bonnechere Valley Fire Deemed Non Suspicious, Homeowner in Critical Condition

A man continues to cling to life following a fire at his home in the Bonnechere Valley.

On Friday shortly before 7 in the morning, Killaloe OPP officers as well as the Bonnechere Valley Fire Department responded to a residential trailer fire on Highway 41. 

The 43 year old man who lives there was taken by ORNGE Air to hospital and remains in critical condition. The Ontario Fire Marshals Office has deemed the fire non suspicious. 

A cat was also found on the property and Firefighters and Paramedics gave the cat water and oxygen. The cat was taken to the vet and is looking for a foster or permanent home.
