Bruham Ave. Fire

Laurentian Valley’s fire department has been looking into the cause of a fire at a business on Bruham Avenue, just outside Pembroke, which broke out early Saturday morning.

Flames and smoke were seen coming from a building on the site of a gas station at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The fire chief says the fire was coming from a washroom area.

16 firefighters responded and had it contained within about 20 minutes.

Yellow tape was still blocking off the building for most of the weekend.

The cause is still under investigation.
