Chalk River Man Among Those Arrested in Exploitation Investigation

A Chalk River man is among more than 100 people charged in November's child exploitation investigations by the OPP.

At a news conference on Wednesday, police said they laid 551 charges against 122 people during the month of November alone, and identified 55 alleged child victims.

Invsetigators say they released those numbers to raise awareness about what they call a widespread problem.

Among those on a long list of arrests and charges released by the OPP is 36 year old Erik Bostock of Chalk River, who faces two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography available.

The OPP says it’s working with police services across North America to crack down on child exploitation.
