City of Pembroke Hands Out Largest Community Improvement Plan Grant to Date.
The City of Pembroke has handed out their largest cheque so far for their Community Improvement Plan Grant.
Nick Potvin, the owner of 126-128 Pembroke Street West was given a grant of $21,108.23 for renovations to four upper-story apartments in order to attract tenants to downtown Pembroke. The project cost over 50,000 dollars to complete. The Community Improvement Plan has 10 grant programs available across the City, primarily for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties with one grant for residential units in the downtown core. Just under $50,000 remains in the plan that is uncommitted and available to future applicants.
