Flooding Update For Pembroke

The City of Pembroke’s Emergency Control Group met this morning and determined that Canadian Forces and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry personnel are no longer required in Pembroke at this time. The City would like to thank community volunteers, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry personnel and Canadian Forces personnel for their assistance up to this point.

They will continue to monitor water levels and will notify the public if further volunteer assistance is required in future.

The public is reminded that the Marina and Riverside Park remain closed. For safety reasons, residents are urged to stay away from these areas of the City.

Residents should know that the City’s key infrastructure continues to be secure and drinking water in the City of Pembroke remains safe to consume.

Residents affected by the flooding should be aware of an upcoming Red Cross Assistance Centre on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 11 am – 8 pm at the Shady Nook Recreation Centre (80 Richardson Crescent, Pembroke). At the Centre, information will be available to residents affected by flooding on support services available to them
