Garrison Petawawa Commander Accepts Commemorative Stamp Honouring Military by Canada Post
Canada Post has unveiled commemorative stamps honouring First Responders across the country.
Local Representatives from Canada Post were at Garrison Petawawa Friday to present the Base Commander with a copy of the stamp honouring the Canadian Military.
Base Commander Colonel Louis Lapointe says it’s great the Military was recognized by Canada Post for the work they do, along side Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Paramedics, and Search and Rescue…
"It's always great for us to work hand in hand with those other providers and we are very happy that our soldiers have a chance to be recognized as being part of a team"
The Canada Post office at Garrison Petawawa is one of the busiest in the country and packets of the commemorative stamps are now available.
