Killaloe OPP Investigate Fatal Collision On Combermere Road
On Saturday January 6, 2018 at approximately 3:06 pm, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision on Combermere Road, in the Township of Madawaska Valley.
Preliminary investigation revealed that two passenger cars had been involved in a head on collision on Combermere Road, North of Rubyville Road.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 67 yr. old female driver of the passenger car and the 76 yr. old male passenger involved in the collision were transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, (TTCI) attended the scene to continue with the investigation.
The deceased has been identified as 52 yr. old Susan WEARE of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township.
Combermere Road was closed but has since been reopened to traffic. The cause of the collision remains under investigation
