OPP Traffic stop leads to drug charges
In the early morning hours of January 7, 2017 the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police Pembroke conducted a traffic stop on MacKay Street at Mary Street in the City of Pembroke. The vehicle driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) for driving while under suspension. In addition to the HTA charge the driver was found to be in possession of drugs. As a result 27 year old Tyler Corey LANTHIER of Pembroke was also charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). He was released on a Promise To Appear for the CDSA charges and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 31, 2017
These men ought to be more cautious doing their job. That being said, let's just say that the security measures seem to be rather inadequate. DISTURBING CONTENT
