Renfrew Man Charged Over Highway Fight In Ottawa

A Renfrew man is facing a criminal charge after a fight alongside the Queensway in Ottawa.  

It was Wednesday morning at around 8:15 when police were called to the median of Highway 417 near Richmond Road, in the west end, where they say two men were fighting.

Police say their investigation revealed that it all started over a minor collision.  

In a news release, police announced that 45 year old James MacRae of Renfrew has been charged with assault.  

Police say he was released on a promise to appear in court on May 8th in Ottawa. 

The victim was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.
