Several Impaired Drivers Charged by Renfrew OPP

Several people are facing charges following drunk driving incidents over the last week on Renfrew OPP patrolled roads. 

On Thursday April 26th officers responded to a single vehicle in the ditch on Norton Road and found the driver had been drinking. The 28 year old driver faces three charges. 

Also last Thursday officers responded to a complaint that a tractor trailer hauling logs was weaving all over the road on Highway 17 near Cobden. The suspected truck was stopped near Storyland Road and the male driver was arrested and faces three charges including dangerous driving.

On Friday officers were called when a person spotted open alcohol in a vehicle leaving a chip stand in Cobden. The suspected vehicle was stopped and the 37 year old driver is facing two charges. 

And on Sunday a man drove to the Arnprior OPP detachment looking to talk to an officer. The man had been drinking, was a disqualified driver and was violating his parole by drinking. The 53 year old Ottawa man faces several charges related to the incident.
