Summer Construction Causing Headache at Bus Stops

Summer construction may cause headaches for some students and teachers getting to and from school.

The Renfrew County District School Board says in cases where there is limited traffic access to a street, a school bus will not be able to get in. Under those circumstances the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium will try and establish a bus stop as close to the regular one as they can.

The Renfrew County District School Board adds the bus company will contact you directly to arrange an alternate pick-up point if there are any road issues they weren't expecting until today.

Both, Raglan Street in Renfrew and in front of Cobden PS in Cobden, temporary alternate arrangements are in place for drop offs and pick-ups.

At A.J. Charbonneau PS in Arnprior, the road is still under construction and accessing the school between pylons will take a little longer.
