Suspect Remains in Custody After String of Thefts in Pembroke

A man remains in custody after a string of thefts from vehicles in the City of Pembroke. 

On July 2nd, around 3:30 in the morning Upper Ottawa Valley OPP officers responded to a complaint of theft of credit cards from a vehicle on Moffat Street. The owner of the car confronted the suspect who ran off. Despite a search of the area Police came up empty handed.  

Later that morning around 10:30, police went out again after two more complaints of cars being entered in the same area. The suspect ran off again but this time Police were able to locate him. 

24 year old, Chayton Geoffrey, of no fixed address is facing several charges related to the thefts and remains in custody until his next appearance in court, July 11th
