Three Fires Burning on Quebec Side of Ottawa River

The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry's, forest fire watch, for Renfrew County remains at "extreme" risk area.

Hot dry conditions are expected to persist in the coming week and total fire bans have been issued in most municipalities.

On the Quebec Side of the Ottawa River, there are three active fires. One started yesterday in Sheenboro, one across from Deep River started yesterday, and one burning on the other side of the river between Rolphton and Point Alexander started Thursday, caused by a lightning strike.
