UPPER OTTAWA VALLEY OPP CHARGE TWO WITH STUNT DRIVING

On the morning of August 2, 2018 a member of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 in the Town of Petawawa after two vehicles, a motorcycle and a passenger car, were found to be travelling at 161 kilometres per hour in a posted 90 kilometres per hour zone. Both drivers from Petawawa, a 31-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, were charged with operating a motor vehicle while performing a stunt - speeding.  The drivers were issued a summons to appear in Pembroke Court. Both drivers also had their drivers licenses suspended and their vehicles towed and impounded, both for a period of seven days.
