Yakabuski Trying To Sell Municipalities on Repealing Green Energy Act
The Province is promising local communities will have more control over renewable energy projects within their boundaries under its plan to repeals the Green Energy Act.
Renfrew Nipissing Pembroke MPP, John Yakabuski, says the focus is the bigger projects that can generate controversy within communities.
“And these projects for the most part; you know, we are not talking about the little roof top solar, we are talking about the big projects, particularly wind, large solar farms.”
The Green energy Act was brought in by the Liberals in 2009 but Yakabuski says the system as it stands does not offer local community leaders enough of a say. The opposition NDP says the Tories’ move to cancel it is largely symbolic since there are no current projects to cancel.
A man went to Ripley's Aquarium in TO, undressed and then jumped in the water to swim with the sharks. The best part of this story? He managed to get out of the tank and flee before the police showed up!
New Yorkers don't have a reputation for being polite and friendly. Here's why! Omg!
What is funnier? The body language of this man when he realizes what will be demonstrated or the music that has been added to the video?
