Air Quality Warning

The heat warning continues for the North Okanagan, as does the special air quality statement due to the smoke.  Air Quality Health Index in Vernon was already 5 on a scale of 1-10 early Wednesday morning, which is at the high end of moderate.

Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa Erven says we could hit a temperature of 38  by Thursday, but there is some relief coming.

We're expected to get a cold front moving over the region, bringing temperatures down to the mid-twenties for the weekend.  But she says it could mean we'll also see some thunderstorms.
