APC Looking for Volunteers

If you'd like to help shape the future of Vernon, the City  is looking for two people to join its Advisory Planning Committee.

The City of Vernon is accepting applications for two appointments to the Advisory Planning Committee (APC). The APC’s purpose is to provide City Council with advice and recommendations on proposed land use and planning changes and related matters.

The APC seeks a youth member and an applicant with a background in accessibility for the disabled/mobility impaired. The term of the youth position is two years (expiring December 2020), and the accessibility position is for four years (expiring December 2022). The APC meets at 4 p.m. every two weeks on the Tuesday following Council’s Regular Meeting.

Applicants must reside within Vernon city limits.

If you are interested in serving the community on the APC you may pick up a copy of the Terms of Reference and a volunteer application form at Reception at City Hall, or visit our website at https://www.vernon.ca/government-services/mayor-council/council-committees.

Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
