Cooling Trend Coming
We're set to see a change in our weather pattern this week that should give fire crews a break.
Environment Canada's Bobby Sekhon calls it a spring pattern. He says the upper ridge is moving and we'll see some rain. The forecaster says rain should begin Wednesday and this new pattern will likely stretch into next week.
The Environment Canada forecast calls for periods of rain on Wednesday with the snow level at 1700 metres and a high of 10 degrees. We'll see periods of rain Wednesday night with an overnight low of plus 1. We'll get a break on Thursday with sunshine and a high of 13. Showers return Thursday night and there's a good chance of showers right through the weekend. Normals for this time of year are lows of plus 1. high 13.
