Freezing Rain Warning in Effect for Okanagan

Freezing rain warnings have been posted for several parts of the province and drivers are urged to use extreme caution today as they travel.

Environment Canada has expanded the freezing rain warning to include the North, Central and South Okanagan 

Forecasters say on Friday the Vernon area could see periods of freezing rain mixed with snow and a high of minus 1.  The warning also includes the Shuswap, North Thompson, Arrow and Slocan Lake region as well as the Similkameen, Fraser Canyon south including Lytton and Nicola.

Drive BC  has issued a travel advisory for Highway 1 between Hope and Lytton as well as between Vancouver and Whistler due to the freezing rain warning.
