Happy ending for Vernon Search and Rescue

Rescue crews had a happy ending yesterday morning when they saved a woman who had spent more than 12 hours outside after her vehicle drove off a North Okanagan road.
Leigh Pearson is with Vernon Search and Rescue and says it looks like the woman tumbled 50 metres down a cliff from where her S-U-V had landed sideways in some trees after leaving Highway 6 (about 40 kilometres east of Cherryville).

A rope rescue team pulled the woman to safety around 4 A-M Tuesday and Pearson says she appeared cold but uninjured.
An ambulance crew took the woman to hospital in Vernon.
