Meningococcal Outbreak Over
The meningococcal outbreak in the Okanagan is officially over.
Medical Health Officer Dr Silvina Mema says more than 14 thousand people between the ages of 15 and 19 were immunized since the outbreak was declared in mid December.
Four cases were found in late 2017, including a 16 year old Vernon girl. Mema says no new cases have been detected since December 28th.
