Missing Women Drones
A father whose daughter disappeared in the north Okanagan is determined to get more drones into the hands of volunteers searching for missing people.
John Simpson's 32-year-old daughter, Ashley, went missing last year and he has travelled to B-C from his home in Ontario, several times to help look for her. Simpson bought four inexpensive drones earlier this year using proceeds from a fundraiser he organized in his daughter's name and sent two of them to a B-C search crew. Simpson doesn't think drones will help locate his daughter at this point, but he hopes to create a Canada-wide network of volunteer drone search teams who can assist in the crucial first days after someone goes missing.
Ashley Simpson is one of at least four women who remain missing in the same area where the Mounties found the remains of 18-year-old Traci Genereaux
