Near Heart-Stopping Excitement for Lumby Lotto 6/49 Winner
On his way through Vernon last week, Paul Hutchen stopped at a gas station and had a "gut feeling" that he should buy a Lotto 6/49 ticket. That feeling led him to a life-changing amount of money, after matching all ten numbers in the draw held on June 29, 2019 to win the guaranteed $1 million prize.
"I stopped at the gas station, and I could not believe what I was seeing," says Hutchen. "My friend owns the local pub so I went there and he ran my ticket through his machine and confirmed the win. My first thought was ‘Please don't have a heart attack right now!’”
Hutchen recently moved to Lumby to be closer to his daughters, after spending eight years living on his boat on the West Coast of B.C. Already an adventurous spirit and an avid traveler, he plans to see even more of the world, including Costa Rica and his bucket-list destination of Greece. Although, the most important thing to him is making sure his two daughters are set for the future.
"It will definitely let me look after them and help with their futures."
