No Records Set
It was pretty chilly for Family Day in the North Okanagan at Minus 17.3 - but that isn't even close to record cold.
Environment Canada Meteorologist, Armel Castellan says Vernon records go back 118 years. He says the record for Monday was set in 1949 at Minus 24.4. He's not expecting we'll break any records all month.
But Castellan says winter isn't done with us just yet. A new system will bring another 5 centimetres of snow tonight, and there's a good chance of flurries on the weekend, but he says the North Okanagan won't see a significant storm.
